Hear from past and present Entrepreneurship Scholars whose ventures have found their footing as part of the Regnier Institute’s “Ventures Gaining Traction” moderated panel. Three emerging entrepreneurs who have participated in the renowned UMKC Entrepreneurship Scholars program will offer their unique perspective on successfully growing a business from idea to launch.
Tim Sylvester is a multi-award winning entrepreneur and electrical & computer engineer. With more than a decade of experience in construction trades and having participated in two advanced data networking projects for the National Science Foundation, Tim’s work with Integrated Roadways has been featured in regional and national publications, including CNN and the Wall Street Journal.
Emily Moon is the co-founder of The By Grace Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers women through education and enterprise. By Grace Designs won the 2017 Regnier Venture Challenge in May, and works with women in Ghana, India and the USA. Emily also works full-time in business development at Stinson Leonard Street LLP.
Nathan Howard is the co-founder and co-owner of Strange Days Brewing Company. Strange Days was founded by three Kansas Citians and E-Scholars alumni. Nathan’s primary roles are brewing, branding, design, social media, PR and marketing. Nathan and his partners are carving out a place in the Kansas City beer scene and bring some much needed “strange days” to KC.
